I have talked with allot of UFC fighters in past about their nutrition and only the top guys take it really seriously. McGregor's keep it simple thats what I like about his plan, McGregor’s diet is perhaps the most important aspect of keeping him in shape. Fighting is a way of life—not a way to live for just six weeks during a fight camp, or three months to get shredded for the summer.
McGregor certainly lives his life the right way. “I’m always eating good food,” he says. “Depending how far out I am from a fight, I might cut out a few things. You wouldn’t catch me eating too much in terms of take-out. I love water and coconut water, but I never drink energy drinks—ever! I just eat good, quality meat and keep hydrated.”
Fighter starts his day with a bottle of water. And then eats a banana or drink a cup of Americano. “I just try and eat clean. I don’t eat takeaways. I don’t eat none of that shit. I just try to eat clean.”
Based is diet good-quality meats, good-quality greens, good-quality carbohydrates like sweet potato and butternut squash, and that is it.
What Conor McGregor eats:
- Fruits (banana, etc.)
- Water and coconut water
How To Remove 20 Pounds of Toxic Fat From Your Colon
Cleansing, detoxification and purification of organs that cause sickness, disease and weight gain. Many people are unaware of the effects that food has on overall health and weight gain. If your body is accumulating excess fat there is a reason for it. If you want to remove that excess fat you need to do the opposite of what caused your body to accumulate it in the first place.
The problem is, you don’t know what caused your body to gain excess fat in the first place and you could literally spend years (as I have) learning about health, nutrition, assimilation, food reactions, hormones and so many other topics that would make your head spin to find out what diet is “perfect” for you because you will NEVER find the perfect diet in a book. A perfect diet is unique to your individuality, your gut, your genes, your hormones and multiple other factors. You could literally spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to scientifically find the “perfect” diet for you so that search will always come up empty if you are what I call “diet hopping” from one diet to the next.
I like to think strategically though and eating healthy and exercising may help but if you want to get better results faster you will need to begin a cleansing (otherwise known as detoxification) protocol. What type of cleanse/detox should you do though? there’s everything from the cayenne lemon water one that stars do to not eating food at all, known as intermittent fasting.
Many cleanses and detoxification protocols can be beneficial but if I had to pick a specific cleanse or detoxification protocol that I would see most valuable to losing excess fat specifically is to do a Colon cleanse. As Dr. Schulze say’s “All disease begins in the Colon” and many other health experts, researchers, doctors and scientists will validate that the Colon needs to be healthy and clean in order for optimal fat lass in a timely manner.
The Colon (otherwise known as the large intestine) is compromised of 5 feet long tubes that are 3 inches in diameter. It is responsible for absorbing nutrients from the food we eat along with the liquids we drink. If the Colon is toxic and backed up (constipated to some degree) then your body will not be able to absorb nutrients properly.
The Colon is also responsible for producing bowel, otherwise known as fecal matter… ya know, crap! If your Colon is toxic and contains backed up fecal matter your body (and belly) will round out. If you take the appropriate steps to detoxify your colon as I share in this article your Colon will be able to remove excess waste (fecal matter) and absorb nutrients better.
If your Colon is backed up fecal matter literally sits in the Colon which then becomes poisonous to the body and blood. Not poisonous in a “you’ll die” kinda way but in a way that causes toxicity to build up in the body. I won’t go into too much detail but when you’re colon is backed up, you will have less bowel movements.
You should be having 2-3 bowel movements each day. When your Colon is healthy and working optimally you’ll have a bowel movement within less than an hour after each meal, that’s 2-3 bowel movements per day, depending on how many meals you eat. How many bowel movements do you have now? are your bowel movements after meals?
If you don’t have consistency in your bowel movements, you have less than 3 bowel movements per day or if you don’t have bowel movements after your meals then your Colon is backed up and most likely harboring toxic fecal matter that is causing you to gain even more fat and excess weight.
Americans Have on Average 20 Pounds of Toxic Fecal Matter Just Sitting in Their Colon!
If that sounds like you, less than 3 bowel movements a day, no bowel movement after meals or no consistency with bowel movements than I can guarantee that you have excess fecal matter sitting in your Colon causing you to have a rounded stomach, feel sluggish and fat. Thankfully with the right nutritional approach you can not only cleanse your colon but keep it healthy so that you have more regular bowel movements and lose that excess weight (5-20 pounds in most cases) and keep your Colon healthy so that you don’t gain it back.
While your body and mind should get the majority of what they need from the foods you consume, that isn't always enough. Many health food stores offer you an array of supplements that can help you to feel better and to improve your overall health. It is tough to get through the day when you suffer from pain, your mood isn't what you want it to be, or you can sleep.
Identify your Needs
It is a good idea to identify your needs before you visit health food stores. Then you can evaluate what they have that you could benefit the most from. You may be looking for a daily vitamin you may be trying to boost your energy level. Conduct your research to find products that match your needs.
Wonderful products from health food stores to consider are those that help you with prevention. They can help you to reduce the risk of serious health problems later on. They can also help you to tackle common ailments such as joint pain and headaches without the use of prescription medications. Taking these supplements daily can prevent your problem from getting worse. Many of the items you will find in health food stores that fall into this category boost your immune system. They are full of powerful antioxidants that flush toxins and free radicals from your body. As a result, they give you a barrier of defense to help you look and feel your very best.
Many people suffer from health concerns due to carrying around extra weight. It takes a toll on the bones and joints and the vital organs. It isn't uncommon for health food stores to offer products to assist you with reducing cravings or changing the way your body breaks down what you consume. They also carry plenty of healthy choices for foods and snacks you can purchase.
Supplements can assist with improving your mental health too, and that is just as important as the body. These products allow you to think clearer and to concentrate. As a result, you can reduce stress and get more done in less time. You will feel alert rather than in a foggy state. You will also be less likely to make errors. They can also help to boost your mood. This is very important as the use of them can reduce the symptoms of mild to moderate depression. It can change the way you feel, the way you interact with others, and your overall well-being.
Feeling sluggish can make it hard to workout or to get through the day with routine tasks. You will find health food stores have products to assist you with boosting energy. However, they aren't full of harmful ingredients that will cause you to be jittery or cause you to struggle to sleep well at night.
Look for a provider offering personalized help to each customer. You should be able to ask questions and to get feedback for certain needs. It is a good idea to learn about the reputation of the store too. It is important to trust them and to know all of the products they carry are going to be good for you to consume. Compare prices too so you don't get charged too much. The prices can vary from one provider to the next. You need to look at the daily dose and the number of days the product covers. This will help you to compare prices when the products vary in terms of the volume they offer.

When you have one million and one things to do, keeping up with your health can be a chore. Technology is becoming a huge asset to people who have busy schedules, live in a remote area, or are watching their budget. Using apps, online classes, and the latest DVDs can round out your healthy goal management.
Tracking your calories and fitness is as easy as finding the “app for that”. Health and Fitness Magazine lists the top apps of 2017 including old favorites like MyFitnessPal and RunKeeper. These are great apps for tracking your calories and exercise. For a few extra endorphins, log time exercising with the Charity Miles app, and partner sponsors will donate to the charity of your choice. They have more than 30 to choose from, including The Wounded Warrior Project, American Diabetes Association, and the ASPCA. It’s pretty amazing to rack up money for a charity you believe in just by walking the dog.
Another app that allows you to get a workout while spending time with animals is offered by Rover. While not a traditional fitness app, Rover’s app allows you to connect with folks who need pet sitters or dog walkers. It’s an easy way to build a dog walking business, but it also offers a great way to stay in shape while putting a little extra money in your bank account.
Apps are more than just a calculator and tabulator. In addition to reporting basic fitness and nutrition stats, advanced apps allow you to track your pulse, blood sugar, and even screen your worrisome moles. However, apps should never take the place of regular check-ups with your physician. The Technology Review’s overview of health tech summarized that while there is definitely encouraging data pointing to overall effectiveness of health apps – the jury is still out the degree which apps can help. If you’d rather go a little old school, fitness at home DVDs have come a long way since Jane Fonda's debut in the early 80’s. Most fitness trends have a corresponding video you can try at home for a fraction of the price of a month of HIIT workouts.
Whether you’re into ballet inspired Barre, cardio burn, or my personal favorite circle-of-workout-hell, P90X – Fitness Magazine has a fantastic list of this year’s top tested workouts. For most videos, all you need is a clear floor and a TV. Be sure to check the cover for additional equipment requirements, such as resistance bands or weights. It’s also important to check out the time commitment required to find a workout that suits your schedule. Some DVDs ask you to devote a full hour, while others break workouts into sections that require as little as ten minutes of your time. You’ll also find that many have complementary nutrition tips and recipes on their website (though beware, some require subscription fees). Amazon or Target are great places to find a wide variety of quality workout tools and videos. Reading user reviews can help you narrow down the right program for you. Somewhere between high-tech apps and low-tech DVDs is the world of online fitness and nutrition.
There are some amazing resources online for everything from meditation to eating well. For example, YouTube is not just a place for funny cat videos and bizarre makeup artist conspiracy theories. There are many high quality health channels you can subscribe to for free. Tasty is a channel featuring colorful stop motion videos that show mouth watering, quick and easy meals. For workouts that take it up a notch, try the BeFit channel, featuring trainers like Denise Austin and Jillian Michaels, from the hit show; The Biggest Loser. If “abs, abs, abs” aren’t your thing, DoYogaWithMe has a huge library of free yoga and meditation videos.
A subscription is available for some services, but the free base level is plenty for the average user. It features tons of on-demand videos for beginner to advanced levels. If you know your downward dog from your dancer's’ pose, but can’t make sense of a whisk, try free or subscription cooking classes. Craftsy is a reasonably priced and informative site where you can pick up some fun tips (just don’t get sidelined by the crochet class). If you want something a little more traditional, try allrecipes.com for a virtual treasure trove of easy to follow healthy food content.
From low-tech to high tech, pick a place to start that works for your budget and schedule. With so many options, you have hundreds of fantastic excuses to take control of your health this year.
